Caring for Alberta's Watersheds - Contest

Have your students take part in the Caring For Our Watersheds contest, which asks grade 7-12 students, "What can you do to improve your watershed?" Students submit a proposal about real changes they could make in their community and have the opportunity to win up to $1000 in cash!

The deadline for submitting Caring For Our Watersheds proposals is coming up! Watch these videos for an overview of how to register your school and submit proposals through the online portal.


Steps to Enter
Go to the Enter Contest page on the Caring For Our Watersheds website.Click on the Student Portal button to create your submission (make sure your teacher has already registered themselves and your school, otherwise you may not be able to create a submission).Select the Start New button to start filling out your proposal information. Include all of your team members.Be sure to fill out all of the fields to increase your chances of success!The top ten student projects receive a cash prize of up to $1000 and get to present their proposal to a panel of judges at the Reynolds Museum on May 22, 2026.
